A strategic point between Africa and Europe since Phoenician times, Tangier has always been attractive because of its geographical situation. It is located in the northwest of the country on the Strait of Gibraltar and 14 km away from the Spanish coast. The entrance door to Africa, it is a city at the edge of 2 seas: the Mediterranean and the Atlantic Ocean.
The Medina, the oldest part of the city and top attraction of Tangier, is a labyrinth of commercial and residential alleyways. Contained by the walls of a 15th century Portuguese fortress, it is full of treasures & surprises. All that happened in Tangier from the 18th century took place inside the Medina, which is surrounded by the walls “Fortification” for protection & safety purposes. To access the Medina you must go through one of its Doors. In the old times, these doors were closed 1h30 after sunset and everything outside its walls was considered out of Tangier.

Your adventure includes a walking tour of the souk, Medina and Kasbah, a drive along the Atlantic shore to visit Hercules’ Caves & Cap Spartel

MEETING LOCATION + TOUR DURATION
Meeting location: I will pick you up at your hotel lobby in Tangier, at the cruise terminal or as previously agreed.
For those who are coming by Fast ferry from Tarifa, I’ll be holding a sign paper with your name in the port of Tanger ville.
End location: I will drop you off at your hotel lobby in Tangier, at the cruise terminal or as previously agreed.
TRANSPORTATION
Air conditioned Van with enough space for everyone to be comfortable.
I have access to larger vehicles for bigger groups

1000 Moroccan Dirham – A good lunch starts at 500 Dirhams depending on the type of food and restaurant.
Optional expenses such as snacks or souvenirs.
Note that both Euros & USD are accepted in Tangier. There are also many ATMs and most of the shops & restaurants accept credit cards.
